I love the freedom this gives me to meet my students where they are and adapt what I can say about the images to their particular needs.
Through acquisition they were sufficiently aware of which structures were possible and which were not, without having had any explicite grammar training.
It’s an ideal CI activity because everything is 100% comprehensible and compelling and repetitive. The original structures are repeated countless times.

A good qhodunit can give you weeks of excellent lessons with minimum planning.
“Wow! Today we had a terrific lesson about colors/food/clothing/the weather!” said no kid ever.
It was compelling comprehensible input.
I need a new place to put things that don’t seem to fit anywhere else.
A place that’s a bit more personal and quite a bit less organized.
